Doctoral student of the 1st year of the educational program 8D05301 - "Chemistry" Artamonov Yuri conducts research on the development of new sorbents based on polymeric hydrogels and cryogels for natural water treatment from radioactive contaminants. In the laboratories of the Scientific Center for Radioecological Research of Shakarim University and the Department of Chemical Technology and Ecology under the supervision of PhD Klivenko A.N. synthesized hydrogels and cryogels based on polymers of different nature and type. At present the properties of the obtained polymer gels are being studied: the degree of gel swelling in water, mechanical strength, morphology. In the future, it is planned to evaluate the efficiency of the synthesized polymeric gels in the processes of selective sorption of radionuclides from aqueous solutions.
