On December 8-9, 2025, the II International Congress of Women in Industry and Technology was held in Astana. The event focused on global trends in women's integration into the industrial sector, mentoring for young professionals, and opportunities for interstate cooperation on pressing women's issues. Olga Stepanova, Head of the Department of Technical Physics and Thermal Power Engineering, participated in the event. As Shakirim University is committed to sustainable development policies in all areas of its activities, this congress was a unique opportunity to discuss priority areas for the development of modern society, and the issues raised were fully aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 "Quality Education," SDG 5 "Gender Equality," Goal 7 "Affordable and Clean Energy," and SDG 9 "Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure").
