On April 11, 2023, the Interuniversity Student Olympiad in Chemistry was held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of chemist, teacher, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, honored worker of Higher Education, first rector of Ust Kamenogorsk Pedagogical Institute, Honorary Rector of EKSU, Professor, candidate of technical sciences Uvaliev Yumash Karimovich, organized by the Department of Chemistry of the NAO "East-Kazakhstan University n. a. S. Amanzholov". The Olympiad was held according to tasks compiled on the basis of educational programs of chemical and non-chemical educational programs and was held in an offline format. The Olympiad was attended by students from Semey Shakarim University, S. Amanzholov EKU, D. Serikbayev EKTU, as well as Toraigyrov University. According to the results of the Olympiad, the 2nd place was taken by the 2nd–year student of EP 6B05301 - Chemistry Orazalinova Akmaral.
