The scientific project "Development of technology for chemical modification of chlorella culture using biopolymers and nanoparticles to create biologically active substances" is being implemented at the Department of Chemistry and Ecology of Shakarim University.

The idea of the project is to develop an innovative technology for chemical modification of chlorella using biopolymers and nanoparticles. This will increase the productivity of biomass in laboratory and production conditions.

The project is being implemented with grant funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of scientific and scientific-technical projects for 2024-2026.

The total cost of the project is 75 780 511 tenge.

The environmentally friendly and resource-saving project is aimed at creating feed additives for animals and birds, biologically active fertilizers for the soil, as well as biostimulators of seed viability.

Chlorella microalgae is rich in proteins, carbohydrates, fats, B vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It is used as a feed additive for animals and birds, a biofertilizer for the soil and a biostimulator of seed viability.
